Aaron Miller

My name is Aaron Miller, and I am incredibly honored and excited to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Power Ranch Elementary. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to join this amazing community and begin building relationships with the students, staff, and families who make Power Ranch such a special place.

My journey in education began after earning my bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. My degree was in Human Physiology, and while I valued what I learned, I quickly realized my true calling was working with children and supporting learning in a school setting. That realization led me back to school, where I earned my master’s degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. In 2013, I stepped into the classroom and began teaching Gifted students in grades 4–6.

Those early years as a teacher were foundational for me. Working with upper elementary students showed me just how much growth happens during these years, not only academically but also socially and emotionally. I learned quickly that the strongest impact I could make was not just through instruction, but through relationships, consistency, and helping students believe in themselves even when learning felt challenging. Those experiences shaped how I view students to this day.

I was fortunate to grow into instructional leadership roles and further my education by earning a second master's degree in educational leadership from Grand Canyon University. These experiences prepared me to support not only students but also teachers and school communities.  I then served as Dean of Students in a neighboring district, where I worked closely with students, families, and staff to support positive behavior, strengthen school culture, and ensure that every child felt safe, known, and valued. That role deepened my understanding of the importance of building strong systems of care, accountability, and connection within a school.

Across every step of my journey, from the classroom to leadership, my focus has remained the same: relationships first. I believe that when students feel connected and supported, they are more willing to take risks, persevere through challenges, and experience real joy in learning.

Outside of school, my greatest joy is my family. My wife, Kari, and I are proud parents of our two daughters, Maya and Maddison. Much of our time outside of school is spent at soccer fields, where I also have the privilege of coaching recreational soccer for their teams. Being both an educator and a parent has given me a deep appreciation for the trust families place in schools every day, and it fuels my commitment to ensuring every child is cared for as if they were my own.

As I begin this new chapter at Power Ranch, I am excited to partner with all of you to support students academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to being present in classrooms, celebrating student successes, supporting teachers, and building strong connections with families and the community.

Thank you for welcoming me into the Power Ranch family. I cannot wait to get started and look forward to an incredible year together.

Warm regards,

Aaron Miller
